At Iasi airport on the way home from a trip to visit potential partners in Romania and Moldova. Spent time at the Casa Victor nursing home in Ilisesti built by Romania Care and opened in 2004; with Irina Forgaci a Romanian lady I first met when she was a young teenager who now works with children and young people as well as in community transformation; with Sam and Leo Sandu, missionaries in Moldova – Sam first went on a short term mission team to Moldova when she was under 20 and is now married to a Moldovan with four children and living and working in Moldova.
As I sit here I reflect back on the last 29 years all the people who have volunteered to come and all the lives which have been transformed in these countries one person at a time. Do you recognise anyone in the old Romania team photo?
