Granulator on its way to Kenya
The granulator, the heart of the recycling centre in Makutano, is on its way to Kenya!
It was put into a custom made wooden crate to protect it in transit and loaded onto the container ship “Henrika Schulte” on 14th July. At the moment it is traveling down the Red Sea (click here for latest position) and is scheduled to arrive in Mombassa on 6th August. It will then have to clear customs before continuing by lorry to the construction site.

Once complete the centre will recycle 3.5 tonnes of plastic waste each week, helping to clean up the area and combat climate change.
